Bab el 3amoood
Also known as the Gate of Damascus
its the most popular door in the old city, its beautiful. and its entrance is amazing.
it was built in the Ottaman Empire year 1542 by ruler Suliman, right when you enter this gate their is the famous market for the Arabs living in Jerusalem, where they sell everything from fruits and vegetables to the famous bread of Jerusalem called ka3ak.

while you enter the old city from damascus door, its a beautiful feeling, your main focus is when will i reach the aqsa, you enter into a beautiful market. Damascus door is the same door that Umar ibn al khatab(ra) entered from one he opened Jerusalem. its Also the door that Salah el deen el ayobee entered from. Its the largest gate of the old city. Important figure to meet for strikes, and gatherings for the Muslims.

Behind every door their is a story to tell, the suffering of the Muslims to hold strong to their homes, if you would ask anyone of them, they wouldn't sell their tiny homes in the city for the whole world. While your walking you will notice a few strangers, you can tell that they don't belong here, each step they take is with fear and cautiousness as if they know one day, the walls that their passing by are going to speak against.

Bab el khalil(Hebron), it was called bab el khalil because it was the direction of the road that leads the city of Khalil(hebron). It was built year 1538. Khalil, in arabic also means friend, and for that this gate is also called Gate of Friends, Its also bab yafa, (jaffa). It is position at right angle of the wall of the old city.

Bab El Magribaa, this door is the nearst
door to the Masjid Al-Aqsa Al Mubarak,
they say it was the door that the Prophet Muhammaed(pbuh) came through to go to the Aqsa Mosque, and it is also the same the door that Umar Ibn Al-khatab(ra) came through also.

The Jews have close the gate enters to the Aqsa Mosque. From Under that door, is the area of the Jew, and where they are digging under the Mosque, claiming its where suliman temple is.

The Door of Mercy, and Tawba, also Known as the Golden Gate.

The door from the inside of the Aqsa Mosque and it was once a place to make zhiker and dua. Posted Image

This the door from the outside of the Aqsa Mosque and near its graves of two of the sahaba شداد بن أوس, وعبادة بن الصامت(رضي الله تعالى عنهما), Shadad ibn Aws(ra) and Obada ibn Al-samet(ra) and the Graves of the salheen and shohadaa(the righthous and martyrs.

Their was a saying that Imam Al Ghazlee rahmohoo Allah, made a3tekaaf near the inside of the door, and it was made a place of zhiker.
The door was closed by Salah el deen el Ayobee because the crusades use to take the door to enter the Masjid Al Aqsa, and they claim that this is the door of the Prophet Isa(pbuh) and that he opened it and it going to come back and open in it in the future. Their is no evidence in that claim whatsover. On the other hands the Jews claim, that outside this door, is a importance history for them, and the claim that door was built by prophet Suliman(pbuh) and they are not allowing anyone to be buried in the Rahma(mercy) grave, outside the door.

Wa iyakoom
I happened to remember the first time i visited the Aqsa mosque, back then i was so young, I was nine years old, i had just came back from the US. I really didn't understand anything about this place, i barely knew what being Muslim means, we had just began studying the seerah of the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) in our deen class. Just knew a few basic information.
The visit was with a field trip in school. as we walked through one gate the doom of the rock started to appear slowly to me, it was a amazing, such a beautiful figure, when we were approaching it, As it appeared to me, my tears dropped, and i freezed, i felt that the spirit has touched my heart. Who wouldn't as a Muslim? This is the land of Asraa and Meraj.

Bab el Saherah( Herod Gath, the jews call it the Herod gate of Herod the great a learder in the Jewish faith who rebuild the jewish temple ) Also know as the flower Gate, it was called the flower gate because of the engraving of flowers on upper wall of the Gate. Also because it was happend for merchants to sell flowers and fruits in the main entrance.
The Muslim name for the gate is Bab el Saherah, Saherah, or sahr( means) to stay up a night, This door was where the Mujahdeen used to stay up and protect the entrance of the old city from this door.
