Assalamu Alaykum dear members,

As happens from time to time, things get lax at the forum, the admin team gets busy, and things get in the way of properly implementing policies.

however, when the realisation of this occurs, the Admin team has the duty of fixing things up.

While things havent been too bad on many fronts, they could be better, hence, we are announcing a general clamp down on all things we deem inapproporiate.

We will target specifically inappropriate conduct between genders (including chit chat), ill feeling between members, rudeness, name calling.

There is an air of change giong through the forum again and new things being initiated as some will know; insha Allah these are once again exciting times if Allah swt wills it, and we want 7cgen to back to its old self.

You might remember a very successful campaign we ran before ramadhan - that, given ramadhan came about and people didnt come on the net, had a temporary effect; this new effort by us can be seen as continuing things where that one left off

The pre-Ramadan changes I thought were quite effective.

Let's hope we can get things back to how they were before. And that "before" was an attemp to get things back to how they were before too.

MashAllah good initative..but the 'chit-chat' is sometimes happening in areas where the mods and admin don't even post! It does need to be cut down and mods and admin need to keep a closer eye on these areas.
