From time to time, I will post up some short poetic reminders in this thread inshallah. Stay tuned.
Wasalam 'Alaykuum.
I remind myself, first and foremost inshallah. Bismillah.
Reminder 1 - Time:
"By time, Verily! Man is in loss,"
Words that are spoken by our Lord, the All-Mighty.
Time an enemy to those who despair,
Time a friend for those in piety.
The breath we breathe and the following exhale,
Numbered they are - when is your last?
Unknown to us, but clear to the Creator,
When will the wasting finally avast?
Time a factor that is lost forever,
Once it's gone it leaves no trail.
So when will you believer, utilize it for Him?
To save you from Hell, so you surely don't fail.

Indeed Allah is with those who are patient,
Content in what He has bestowed upon them.
Tears may come but their patience is firm,
Acceptance and hope from their hearts will stem.
Do you not think there are people worse off?
Do you not think your not alone in the storm?
Raging continuously but a calm shall come,
Then gradually and eventually it will be back to the norm.
Trials come and trials go,
So be of those who pass the test.
Allah trials the ones He loves and rewards,
Because indeed they are from the very best.

Today we see the violent sights,
Of sweat and blood and the heavy swords.
When shall it turn into light - not darkeness?
When shall we stop taking kufar as lords?!
Rise O Ummah of the glorious times!
Do you not seek our time of prosperity?
Rise O Ummah of the glorious times!
Where are those who are full of sincerity?!
Rise and strive in the way of Allah,
Rise and re-establish our glorious state.
Rise as One who follow the haqq,
To bring back our honour - we shouldn't hesitate.

How sweet it is to recite His Names,
Bringing peace to a struggling heart.
The Just, The Loving, The Truth and more,
Lost in tranquility from the very start.
Remember your Lord to escape reality,
Remember your Lord throughout the day.
Remember your Lord to thank Him greatly,
Remember Him everytime you have something to say.
For indeed His remembrance is surely not cursed,
One of three things in this entire existence.
So recite your athkar as much as you can,
The rewards immense so you should be persistent.

No mother or father to care for them,
Their tears not wiped as they continue to flow.
Time shall pass with the feeling of loneliness,
Looked at by people as being so low.
Do they not deserve a hug or smile?
Do they not deserve a kind word from you?
What about a du'a to ease their hardship?
Or some of your wealth to get them through?
Through the battle of life that continues to rage,
So why not treat them with kindness and care?
The one who does will be with the Prophet in paradise,
So when you see them don't only stare.

Embracing the face of the humble believer,
Glowing brightly in the darkness around.
A cheerful sight to the eyes of your brother,
As nice as words but without the sound.
So why the sad face O dear believer?
And why the frown when you walk your way?
It takes more muscles to frown then smile,
So why not use it to keep your anger at bay?
The Prophet smiled - it was from his traits,
Also a charity that is easy to give.
So let it glow on your humble face,
And be like the one who was the greatest to live.
