Taking strides, watching time pass by, counting these days, watching the sun set and rise,
a journey begins but with a step, where it leads only time shall tell,
glances set forward, backwards slowly fades into oblivion,
as shadows rise and fall, moments turn memory, forgotten in the minds realm they turn gray,
after the stormy past and mixed present, we look eagerly ahead to the elusive future,
a place we hope would bring good tidings, but forever a place which stays elusive,
he comes but we don't recognize him ,this is not who we anticipated meeting,
who is this stranger, certainly not the one with whom we made an appointment ,
never expected a sinister being disguising as the one we longed to meet
dear destiny why art thou deceived us once again, why let us hope on a lie once more
hold on to faith, rise and fly like the once burnt phoenix, ready for another journey
its never too late, still hope as long as breath flows, put trust in the only one worthy
pick up your pieces and then journey on
