What is Pride:
From Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever is arrogant about himself or conceited in his walking, will meet Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, while He is angry with him.”
[al-Adab al-Mufrad (549) and graded as “Saheeh, as per the condition of Imaam al-Bukhaaree” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (543)]
Narrated `Abdullaah bin `Amr رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked: What is kibr (pride)? He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: “It is ignoring the truth and being ungrateful to people.”
